Welcome to Danville!

Come to Danville, Virginia - July 23-27, 2018 - for the 12th Annual Americas HTEC CNC Educator Conference!

Network with Educators, HTEC Partners and Industry Professionals as you learn how to Transform your Partnerships - with Students, Communities, Manufacturing Companies, Schools, Programs and more!

Monday afternoon begins with tours of two local High School/CTE Programs – GW (George Washington) and Pittsylvania County Career & Technical Education Center. Upon returning to the Institute, continue to network with Educators and HTEC Partners at the Networking Reception in the Atrium!

Tuesday will be Educational Partnership Transformation with INDUSTRY Day - enjoy a buffet breakfast and learn from Keynote Speakers Tom Loehr (former CEO of Rolls Royce) and Albert Riner (Principal Machining Advisor at BWXT), networking with HTEC Partners, Educators and Manufacturing Industry Professionals, including an Industry Panel/Roundtable Discussion and HTEC Partner Workshops.

Tuesday evening will be packed with fun at Atkinson Farms - Social Hour, Dinner and a Bluegrass/Southern Style band all in a beautiful Virginia Country Setting!

Wednesday will be Educational Partnership Transformation in EDUCATION Day - with General Sessions on Transforming Partnerships in K12/CTE with Angela Rigney, Transforming through Social Media with Tim Robertson, Partner Workshops and Educator-led Breakout Sessions in the morning and afternoon. Continue your networking with HTEC Partners and Educators throughout the day and night.

Wednesday evening, trolleys will shuttle you to downtown Danville for "A Taste of Danville" - with activities for all ages - kids to adults - including Bands, lots of food choices, Ballard Brewery Tour and even "Science After Dark" at the Science Center's IMAX Theater! Shuttles will run between the hotels and downtown every 15 minutes until 9:15 pm. You will be given a "passport" and will be able to visit different restaurants for "sampling" of their fare!

Thursday will be Educational Transformations Continue - to include a General Session on Transformation through Advisory Committees, Educator-Led Breakout Sessions, tours of the new Gene Haas Center and more networking time with HTEC Partners and Educators.

Thursday evening will include Live Partner Demos with Social Hour and Dinner at the new DCC Campus.

Friday morning will close out the week with peer group discussions on the week's activities followed by the General Business Meeting, School Reports, Announcement of the new HTEC Council, Best CNC Project Winners, Door Prizes and more networking time.

Friday will include lunch and feel free to stay for an additional opportunity to tour GW High School, Pittsylvania County Career & Technical Center, and possibly a new Kyocera Manufacturing facility located just across the street from the Institute, including the new "no barriers" office/plant designed facility.

Stay in town to enjoy more of Danville, or head home - it's up to you!
